We continue to flourish and grow, offering a unique and original perspective on Freemasonry that has survived for over 400 years. We have a membership that is spread across the 32 Provinces in Scotland, 26 Districts and 4 Grand Superintendencies overseas.
As the world is changing, Scottish Freemasonry continues to preserve its traditions and rich heritage while keeping a focus on staying up to date with the changes that affect and influence its membership. Our rich history dates to 1736, and we continue to uphold the values of brotherhood, charity, and integrity that have defined us for centuries.
Membership is open to men aged 18 from all walks of life. The organisation focuses on character building, providing individual support, and encouraging members to make a positive impact on society.
We will expand the global presence of Scottish Freemasonry by inspiring our members to enjoy their involvement and attracting new members to strengthen our capabilities and reach. This will be achieved by cultivating a positive culture of inclusivity and meaningful impact in our communities, by

The AVDA was Established to honour exceptional contributions to Masonic literature, the Arcana Veritas Distinction Award pays tribute to writers and authors showcasing remarkable skill and insight in exploring various Masonic subjects such as history, symbolism, degrees, rituals, and other topics within Masonic teachings.
